Ventspils

It was beginning of November, when I arrived in the small city Ventspils in Latvia. According to the local people it is not the best season to travel there, but nevertheless I had a beautiful surprise discovering the surroundings. My initial idea was to document the daily routine of the local people, but the strong winds and the cold rain made interactions harder, than I thought. The loneliness transformed into discovery, as I followed the empty streets to the beach. Fishermen waiting at the shore, crisp sands turning into fine pearls like a satin fabric. red stones lying in the golden sand, looking like falling stars on a clear night. You always feel the chill of the baltic breeze.
